Shearer seems to not understand that it is not the function of a court to set policy. That is the prerogative of the legislature, and ultimately the people. 2A is quite clear, and if we, as a people, want to change it, it will take another Amendment to do so.
“Most Americans” so what about the silent majority? I love articles like this because you don’t know what the silent people think.
Dems are shifting their messages heavily towards “majority” thinking. They’re confident that immigration and birth rates will give them enough minions to disregard our system of check and balances in the name of the majority. War is coming. It’s just a matter of when. It will be worse than our last civil war because it will be nationwide infighting. More along the lines of Russian’s Bolshevik Revolution.

The number the antis quote is usually a 1/3 or less. My guess is that it's closer to your number or perhaps even higher. Now, not all of them are going to be constitutional conservative (plenty of libs and Fudds own guns and have no problem with gun bans since they think it won't affect what they own) but it's still a majority of Americans in my opinion.
