So you thought you have seen it all in the AR world? Well, then meet the mind-boggling Red Ryd-AR lever-action AR-15 by BrickWurX Manufacturing. When I came across this project, all I could find were the photos from the BrickWurX Mfg. Facebook page that you can see embedded in this article and a YouTube video which you can also watch below. I contacted the company to see if I can find out more about this firearm. Luckily, John Brickey, the owner of the company replied and kindly answered all my questions

You don't think the detachable magazine changes the classification ? I realize it is a lever action but removing the fixed tube to removable magazine changes the feed . I changed my post any way Ole uncle Andy will just update im sure

Safe is only for semi auto with detachable magazine.

I like the lever action with a detachable mag but that thumb-hole stock is butt-ugly.

Hardly what I would call innovative. It's a mash up.
Also, why keep the buffer tube? There is no gas system, it's a lever action. Shorten the BCG. Maybe that way it could have a better looking stock. Or, design the lower to be more like the FightLite.

I mean there are plenty of lever action and pump action rifles with detachable magazines so no it wouldn't change anything since the law specifically says semiauto

I'm thinking they wanted to keep as much standard ar parts as possible to include the bcg
