So we're in NY visiting Family and Friends, and staying at our Son's house. He decided he wanted to buy another pistol, and wanted a Beretta 92. He searched and found that Bud's Guns had some for sale with a 15 round mag. He placed his order online yesterday (Sunday), figuring they would just ship it without the mag. He got an Email last night saying there was a problem with his order and to call them in the morning. He called there this morning and they said they couldn't ship the pistol to NY due to the magazine capacity. These guns are Italian police trade-ins (so they're used), so no biggie on them keeping the mag right!!?? WRONG! He spoke with the guy on the phone and just asked him to send the gun to his FFL without the mag... NOPE, "we can't do that"! After trying to figure it out, the guy put someone else on the phone, again my Son asked why they won't just ship it to the FFL without the mag, again "Nope, we can't do that"! He has purchased more than a few guns from Bud's, but not anymore.
Has anyone else had any issues with such a screwed up situation?? Seems to me, it would make sense to sell the gun w/o the mag, rather than walk away from a sale.
Just reaffirms my feelings on why I buy from a brick and mortar shop.
