Bunker Hill ammo box review

I picked a couple up about 2 years ago and had them out in the garage next to some Mil-surp cans all filled with various calibers. I went out and checked them all and the humidity indicators in the two Bunker hill boxes where pink (BAD)while all the indicators in the mil-surp. boxes where blue (Good). I don't have any complaints about the strength just the fact that they are not air tight even thou they have a rubber gasket in the lid. The ammo is still useable but if left another year or so probably wouldn't be.

Bunker Hill? Is that the Harbor Freight brand? If so, you should have bought Plano . . .

Bunker hill ammo can is a cheap can. I got one for $3.99 just to transport some shells when I go hunting (better than keeping them in my duffle bag)
I prefer to use the mil grade cans for storage.

Yea, I'm not surprised by that. There is a reason they are sold through HF. I have nothing against HF, I have some of their stuff, but I understand what it is I'm getting for my money!!

The plastic cans are all inferior to metal cans.
Moisture will always diffuse through the plastic.
Not right away but gradually.

always buy mil spec cans for long storage .. them plastic one are just a every day range can @repete

How can you really tell what is mil spec? By the label? Manufacturers don't lie, right?

I knew that it wouldn't be as good as a real mil-surp can but I figured I'd give it a shot, I did expect a little better results. I'll use them for something else like a cleaning kit or something.

by buying military surplus cans .. with all the military markings on them .. major store chains are selling i bet china made .. just plain jane cans ..
