Well if I were worried about NYSP checking for out of state ammo purchases I'd run 858 instead of usual routes. They probably thinking the same.

For fuck sake...really? You guys are seriously worried that the NYSP are specifically targeting NY plated cars traveling from PA back into NY with NRA bumper stickers on them so they can profile you, perform an illegal search, and put you in jail for bootlegging a box of .22 from out of state? Really? Please tell me I'm missing the sarcasm! If not, this state has turned you into a bunch of cucks/pussies afraid of your own fucking shadows. Geeze.....Well if I were worried about NYSP checking for out of state ammo purchases I'd run 858 instead of usual routes. They probably thinking the same.
No, I'm not concerned with it at all. I was pointing out if NYSP are going to do that, those back roads are where they're going to look. For fuck sake...really? It is NOT illegal .Correct me if I'm wrong please, but...
It is NOT illegal to buy ammo in another state and bring it home to New York.
Just rent a Prius and put a Biden bumper sticker on it. Ultimate camouflage. Just stay out of gay bars. For fuck sake...really? If you build it they will come. That is very very strange.

"illegally search" says it all right there. So let's say you're stopped by the purple tie brigade and they illegally search your trunk and find legally purchased ammo. What happens? Why is this something to be concerned about? As usual, I'm confused.
Maybe looking for illegal immigrants and Hamas operatives?I live a rifle shot from the border now… there has been a NYSP car equipped with cameras sitting by the roadside just inside NY on and off the past week.
Coincidentally, or perhaps not, a Tioga county gun shop bought a place down the street from me on the PA side and has been busily working on getting it setup. What interesting things you learn talking to the mailman!
Maybe looking for illegal immigrants.....?
Simple don’t speed, keep the ammo out of sight, and no officer you can not search my vehicle. What’s best is it’s perfectly legal to buy ammo in PA.Well if I were worried about NYSP checking for out of state ammo purchases I'd run 858 instead of usual routes. They probably thinking the same.
What’s the next fear gonna be? Out of state gasoline in our tanks? Out of state produce? Canned goods? No- I got it: clothing. Untaxed shirts and socks. What in the ever-lovin’ FUCK are people worried about regarding buying ammunition from outside the NYS border? Unlike handguns and (now) semi-auto rifles, it is lawful and possible to buy ammunition from another state and drive home with it. Just like you could buy body armor while you’re there, and bring it home, too. The Troopers can’t do anything regarding this to impede or prevent it from happening.
I've got news for you: The Thugs and Criminals ARE going over the Boarders or having someone buy/steal guns, ammunition, and damn well anything else NY prohibits or frowns upon...perhaps there is something to learn, even mimic. What’s the next fear gonna be? The only thing people care about is........Toilet Paper! What’s the next fear gonna be? Out of state gasoline in our tanks? Out of state produce? Canned goods? No- I got it: clothing. Learn the laws, operate within them to avoid being detained, arrested or prosecuted. Doing something that is legal should not cause fear or anxiety. Perhaps a little reflection on the chance that this could be blocked in the future, sure, but outright fear of being surveilled or stopped upon returning to NYS? There is no law or reg prohibiting the purchase of ammunition in any other state (providing you are able to lawfully purchase said ammo; see CT, IL, etc) and returning to NYS with that ammunition.I would say the ever-lovin Fuck is..... The NYS overlords have conditioned NYS serfs to not trust them, or in some cases to actually fear them. You know damn well NYS will jump on just about any opportunity to fuck with gun owners, that's obvious as it happens over and over. To some NYS gun owners venturing into a free (or free-er) state for the first time they don't know what to expect from that free state, or what to expect from the LEO community upon crossing back into NYS. I plan to venture to another state to buy ammo at some point and have found the info here helpful, even comforting LOL.
Not sure what you’re getting at here. Mimic the criminals? I’m aware that bad guys are trafficking arms from outside of NYS into NYS. Buying ammunition outside of NYS and bringing it home is not prohibited or unlawful. Sure, you can add “yet” or “so far” if you want, it it’s still lawful. So why be afraid doing that? People in this thread are talking about doing it, and then saying they’re afraid of getting caught. Makes zero sense. If you’re afraid of getting caught (for doing something that is not prohibited, but you still think is going to get you jammed up) you wouldn’t broadcast your intentions, right? That’s a pretty bizarre disconnect.I've got news for you: The Thugs and Criminals ARE going over the Boarders or having someone buy/steal guns, ammunition, and damn well anything else NY prohibits or frowns upon...perhaps there is something to learn, even mimic.
The only thing "illegal" about that is not paying the sales tax. Yep, sounds weird but its true for any product that you buy and did not pay NYS sales tax on. That was a big thing years ago with NYC people going to Jersey and buying clothes, appliances etc.Not sure what you’re getting at here. Mimic the criminals?
