That’s easy- the answer is “any PA shop that has the ammo you want that had a fair price.” Same goes for other states that don’t require a FOID or similar card to purchase ammunition.

Close the door call 911 and say there is a group of people outside my door pretending to be cops wanting to see my guns. They don’t have warrants and I am scared.
Even if they did have papers that said "WARRANT"...who here has the expertise to tell if it's a legit document and not a forgery? Call 911 anyway.
Especially if they are in unmarked cars or not in full uniform.
There's been so much of these cases of illegal search/seizures it's created an opportunity through precedent for scammers to impersonate LE to get at someone's guns.

There should be a law requiring wide-jurisdiction agencies (especially those that wear easily faked 3-letter T-shirts or windbreakers) to have local LE (city/town/county) assist serving warrants in a manner easily recognizable to the average citizen in order to indicate the legitimacy of the action.

Even when it’s not legal and I’m not ID’d I’ll still buy it out of state and return with it. I will remove it from all the boxes with lot codes and place it in an old ammo can. And not once has this ever occurred outside of a vehicle or something that requires registration on it. This should be challenged and is likely illegal.

Took a Sunday drive to the U.S of A today to gather some freedom seeds to add to the stockpile . No checkpoints at the re-entry into TPR of NY , no helicopters tailing me, no sweat.On a side note, what a welcome feeling browsing ammo not locked behind glass along with standard round magazines plentiful with explosive rifle targets in large quantities. NY can eat a bag of dicks

I picked up a 1000 rounds of 45 Friday. Local gun store manager helped me carry it out to my truck. No background checks, no Identification cards required. Probably going to grab 1000 rounds of 223 my next trip.

(This assumes he tracked you from the moment you stepped out of your car and made your way through the store.)

I did most of my stocking up during the Covid shortage. All ordered online. Spent over $1/round on thousands of rounds, like an idiot. Caught the FOMO feeling. I think I spent ~$6k on 5.56 alone lol

I bought a gun and ammo at a big box last weekend. The clerk at the ammo desk said his buddy got nailed at the PA border by the NYSP with a $250.00/box fine. Sounds like total BS to me as I have not seen or heard anything about this being illegal or any part of the SAFE Act or the CCIA prohibiting it. Federal Law keeps you from buying a pistol out of state, not not long guns or shot guns or ammo. I don't doubt that Hochul, the AG and the NYSP would and do often make threats, make arrests, make criminal cases, confiscate legally owned items, illegally search, issue fines, etc. under color of law with no actual law to back them up, just lots of lawyers, judges and taxpayer money to keep us down anyway they can. So it seems to me that they "can't", but perhaps do anyway. Anyone got a bead on this (ie. it's been done to you or someone you know personally and not a story by some guy about some other guy he knows)?

I'm cheap, so .50 a round dosn't sound like a bargain to me, I can still roll load em for IDK about .15 each.
