I wish I could take credit for it but that is not my logic. It is the logic of expert witnesses in the field of firearms and ammunition.

I bet those experts say a rifle is a firearm too, good thing that doesn't mean anything in a NY court, or everyone would be guilty of criminal possession.

NY law is the only law that counts for us. Experts say a rifle and a shotgun is a firearm. NY does not unless the barrels are less than 16 and 18 inches.

NY also says that a rifle with a pistol grip is an assault weapon. Experts disagree with that.

In the end, what's written in law is the only thing that matters to us. We cannot add any logic to it.

No, but a gun is considered loaded if you've got a forgotten round stuffed between the cushions of your car.

Pages and pages going nowhere. I have three cans arriving tonite (22, 30 and 45). Be trying out my 308 Tikka T3 target tomorrow at 600 yds on PUBLIC land.
Also my threaded 1911 and next week the quickmounts (GEMTECH) arrive so the AUG, 3 ARs and 5 uppers can be set up. Tonight gotta get out my magazine loader and stuff the 20, 30 and 40 rounders I have.
