HMMM, where have we seen succession attempted before? Let me think about that a bit, almost have it! AH-HA.. now I remember, it was back in the mid 1800s. You might remember that was the whole start of the "Slavery" war. You know that battle called the Civil War, the one the liberal/socialists want future generation to believe was ALL ABOUT SLAVERY! Ya' see they can't let this whole succession thingy get going because sooner or later someone who matters (like ALL of NYS, severing ties with NYC), will want out.
As much as I would love nothing more than to let that Haven of fruits and nuts be on their own... unless we build a wall around it, they will still figure out a way to pollute the adjoining states!!

There has been talk of breaking California up into smaller states for some time and for the same reason many want to separate upstate from NYC.

I agree with the break up part. I just don't see them mention the fall into the ocean part.
I know a girl in CA, and as good hearted as she is, she voted YES on a proposal to ban PLASTIC BAGS for the environment. 
Well, spoiler, I was born in CA. Yes, I moved from #1 shithole to #2. Anyway, when I was there, this bag bullshit was going on. They wanted NOTHING to do with paper bags. In fact, at grocery stores, they'd charge you for paper bags. Plastic bags were free. Save the trees and all. Now this. They have no idea about what they want.

hugely populated states like CA is exactly why the electoral college is needed. if not for the electoral college less populated states would be dominated by liberal bastions like Ca. now, perhaps some more balance is needed in the number of electoral votes because 56 is huge, but this is precisely the reason there is an electoral college system.

It's needs to be revamped. 3 for big states and 1 for the smaller. Winner take of at least 26 wins.
I would like to see the electoral college to be broken up proportionally to county sizes for each state. There is zero reason for NY to go fully blue with 80% of the land mass goes red. This goes for the whole country in my opinion.
If the PEOPLE of CA want to secede, well, all that takes is a visa and a plane ticket.
