Once again, the modern trend of abdicating parenting from the parent(s) to the school system continues.

Charter schools in CA are pissed because they are losing control over what they can do. We have one kid in private school now and the rules are awesome. Lots of "you will be suspended for this" with a bunch of "no suspensions if you do this--instead you're summarily expelled, bye".

Now California fully condones a kid sitting in class being a complete asshole just for fun and the only repercussion is that he'll be taken to a special room for asshole kids where he has a far lower kid:faculty ratio, so the school can spend yet more money pandering to the fact his parents are inept.

I feel sorry for anyone who chooses law enforcement in the future. It will be a shit ass job. Teaching the youth any action is acceptable.
