A few pictures of our club's fishing derby, from today, June 9. We've been sponsoring this longer than most of you have been alive. In fact, no one at our club can even remember when it was started. Kids age 4 & under, to age 12 get to fish, and eat all the free hot dogs & soft drinks they need to keep them going, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. --- 170 + kids had a great time today, and caught some nice trout. Every kid gets some sort of free door prize, with special prizes awarded to each age group for largest fish, most fish. 170 is kind of a poor turnout - I can remember having over 500 kids show up 15 years ago. A great time was had by all. YOUR SUPPORT HELPS US TO DO THIS EVERY YEAR, THANK YOU.

Another thing ticket buyers support is 2 and sometimes 3 $1,000 SCHOLARSHIPS A YEAR TO GRADUATING SENIORS FROM CAMDEN HIGH SCHOOL.

It was advertised in the Camden local newspaper. More advertising would break the budget. We'll try to post it next year in this thread. If you want to mark your calendar, it's always on the second Saturday in June, 8 AM to noon at the Camden reservoir.

All kidding aside, 1911guy is one of my heroes - and I am lucky to be able to call him 'acquaintance'. I have to insult him, I can't outshoot him. He's the kind of guy you could spend several days with in a remote deer camp, - and you wouldn't be thinking - "where can I bury the body?" -- The only thing I can say bad about him - he wasn't born twins. He is a man of integrity - there is no higher compliment I can pay a man....just saying.
