only thing booked is 5 days boondocking at Fish Creek Pond. I also have a canoe camping trip outlined for Allegheny in early summer but no solid plans yet. We also usually go out to friends land in Pa for most three day weekends.

Yes very excited. We are doing a few camping trips this year. We go to the thousand islands and stay at wellsey island. The week before that the kids go to church camp for the entire week. The wife and I will be alone for a week!!
we’re going to letchworth I think Memorial day, Sampson state park in august, alleghany state park labor day, and possibly one or two others.

While your at Sampson you might want to take a drive south a bit to Finger Lakes National Forest, it's the only federally owned forest in NY and is open for hunting hiking camping ectra.

every single weekend, we take three day weekends in the summer and go to camp. The only way to get there is by boat, or ATV/sled in the winter, but this winter has been so warm, no one has been on the lake. The camp is completely off grid, we run on batteries and solar. the place is 2½ hours from home

My son and I will be returning to Montana for a late summer weeklong camp/backpack trek in Yellowstone. Should be awesome.

Have trip to DisneyWorld in April going to tow the tag along down for a weeks stay at Fort Ricky. In May will tow trailer to Wellesley Island SP for a week over Memorial Day weekend. July brings the big trip with 14 nights at Fish Creek Pond SP. This trip brings with it the chance to massacre a few mangoes with @prambo.

I haven't camped since NF and I went to CO in 16. Been meaning to every year since, and our schedules can't line up.

Wanna go this year, had a friend reach out and say he wanted to rough it for the weekend - no gear, just handmade shelters, lean-to, tarps, etc. I told him I did that once - in April, it snowed, like 15years ago with NF. I told him we could do minimalist camping like what we do, but he really wants the experience. To me, my 2p tent, small air roll, and 30° bag, and freeze dried food are good enough. Maybe we'll do that and set him up in a lean to for the night, we'll see. I wanna do it, mainly because he asked if we could

Throwing up a couple pics from last summer. Approximately 43 miles hiked in 5 days.

All of this within Yellowstone. It is astonishing that in a natural park with 4 million visitors per year, we saw not a single soul for that whole five days except on the connector trails in/out.

My wife and I are retiring this year and planning on purchasing a 5th wheel camper. I bought the truck to haul it this past November. The plan it to head out for 4 to 6 weeks at a time. The ultimate goal is to hit the 3700 mile national park loop over several trips. Hoping to take off on the first leg late summer.

we went to the Wilkins RV show sale at the dome, yesterday. They had a a dozen or so Class-C rigs inside, all of them were basically the same rig, with different floor layouts. The only two we were interested in were used, late arrivals, so they were outside in the cold. One was a Entegra Esteem, 32' and the other was a Fleetwood Jamboree about 30'. but, it was 20° out, so we didn't stay, we did a quick walk through and ran away. it was just to cold to be sitting outside looking at these things.

We did talk to the Forest River factory rep, the guy was completely clueless about his own products? unbelievable?
