Who’s got camping packing lists?

I made one last year but I think I handwrote it. Making one on my computer for this year which I will keep for good.

At the end of April I’m camping again in Hoffman Notch. Hope to do another trip with my wife in the summer. I’m pretty meticulous when it comes to my packing list so I’d love to see other people’s to get ideas, see what I’m missing, etc.

food , water , ice ( for the food or mixed drinks ) , TP , TP ,TP LOL .. , at least 3 ways to make fire .. and a moss 500 12ga

axe , knife , saw , first aid kit , glow sticks .. batteries run out lol .. but that is a givin .. back to the BOB ..

When I was a kid I would walk out the back door with a sleeping bag, book of matches, and a paper bag with some grub. Today I need an ATV and a cart full of, of, of, junk!

Not including food, I don't make lists as I keep ALL camping gear together packed into rubbermaid tubs and rolling trunks.
If an item is damaged or depleted during a trip, it's replaced after the trip and packed away again in its appropriate tub/trunk.
With everything always packed together, it's quicker loading into the truck and no gear gets forgotten.

For tents/tarps/rope, I always air it out on a sunny day before repacking after a trip.

I have never been to Hoffman Notch. do they have showers/ toilets? if not, you need to consider those things.

I do back pack camping (or whatever you want to call it), back country, whatever. No facilities. We only have what we carry in on our backs.

I keep a running list (for everything; not just camping) in my e-mail as a draft. G-mail saves the draft, and it is editable as well as available in the Drafts folder for always. I currently have more Drafts than I do Spam.

I was going to ask; obviously back country is going to be a very different list than car camping.

I miss campin'. Then again, I (kind of) live in the woods now so it is sort of like car camping all the time.

I use this app Evernote, it's free on 2 devices. I have it on my tablet and lap top work great.

Not any more, though I still have my pack and do load it up for turkey season and at times do put in some miles, but not in the camping sense of the word.

Mostly day hikes with the occasional overnighter. All that stuff lives in it's own pack. Food and beverage gets loaded just before.

It’s been a few years, my wife isn’t too keen on dragging 4 kids deep into the woods with what I can carry on my back.

I will dig up some of my old lists. I made them for high peaks camping in the winter and summer. Not many frills and I made due with what I had.

I hike in the Adirondacks (all seasons). I used to backpack/camp but age has gotten the best of me and now I would rather hike for 13-14 hours and return to a warm bed.

I spent like $400-500 at Gander 12 years ago on a pack and accessories but never once used it.. I took the nice Gerber axe from it and carry that in my utv though.. I'd still give backpacking a try if I could get someone in my family to find the time..

We just upgraded from a "family" trailer that slept 8+ to a "couples" trailer with a dedicated bedroom that sleeps 4.
