So not trying to be that guy lol...

Questions

1) first real time shooting a glock?

2) low left?

It may not be the sights (could) but it may be you, and that could be just because you dont know the grip angle just yet. It's actually fairly common for "new shooters" to shoot glocks low left. And if this is your first time actually spending any real time behind a glock that could also be the issue.


Did you have anyone else shoot the 19? Were they also able to replicate the groupings at that distance?

Yep a complete glock virgin... shooting low and left. The rear sights has only windage adjustment. I do like the trigger though. I also recently bought a HK vp9 and shoot real well with that..

It may just be the different grip angle (glocks are better set up for a a more aggressive thumbs forward style grip).

I would try even bench resting on a range bag or even a rest if you have one

Got to hold a couple of these yesterday. They seem to fit the hand really well and balance nicely. They were in the 450 range and worth a look if that is your budget range.

They seemed to be a combo of the HK, Glock and Sig. taking the best from each one and melting it into a gun.

Put another 100 rounds through the glock today.changed up my left hand grip, removed my forefinger from the front of the trigger guard and solely rapped my trigger hand. Saw some improvement but it's taking much practice to get results.. its my fault for letting my handguns collect dust for the last 20 years, only really ever used my .22 for critter control.
I need to find some pistol shot leagues after hunting season !
Also ran some rounds through the new VP-9
tried some 10 rounds drills at 10 yards at under 10 seconds..

Hey glad to see there was improvement.

People seem to gloss over handgun skills, it's a depreciating skill and a difficult one to learn at that. Keep at it
.

Oh and when you add a dot (will be difficult and a whole new learning experience at first but well worth it) you will see those groups get even better

Who has a model 19 gen 5 ?
I loved it at 7 yard's but at 15 yards this thing shoots way low ! I'm putting a reflex on it but id still like to have sights that are worth a shit also...

I do. I shoot it well (for me), better than my PPQ.
Out to 10 yards it shoots dead center, POA is POI.
At 25 yards I must hold high but that will be any 9mm and I can still hold a torso sized group at that distance. The only modifications I have done is replacing the sights with the super excellent Heinie Straight 8s and I have put Pierce baseplates what have the thingus on them what fills in the cutout on the front strap of the grip.
I have no plans to do anything else to it, not even the trigger which I find to be entirely adequate from the factory. As a defensive gun I don't want a light trigger and I find the characteristic Glock mushiness to be an aid in rapid follow up shots.

I also want to get the grips with a compass in it and this thing that tells time.
