LITTLE VALLEY — Cattaraugus County lawmakers are expected to approve a resolution Wednesday asking the state Legislature and Gov. Andrew Cuomo to repeal the NY SAFE Act outside the five boroughs of New York City.

All 12 Republican members of the Cattaraugus County Legislature and David Koch, D-Salamanca, are co-sponsors of the resolution.

I would also like to see nothing better than the whole law repealed all over NY. Its great that some counties are asking for repeal. Unfortunately I live in the liberal toilet bowl right above NYC that is called Westchester County. I don't see my county ever asking for a repeal of this law.

Well for one he could most likely get a suit in front of the supreme court ricky tick. He is after all a New Yorker and could on a personal level show standing for injury do to the safe act. I would imagine he could also direct his justice department to go after states not complying with Heller. I suppose he could also try to pass legislation on the federal level that would make AWB's illegal at the federal and state level. Maybe I'm wrong here though.

Don't get me wrong, I am happy people are still pissed off, but at what point do we reach the point of no return? Unsafe has sort of become the new norm and people are more than happy to comply. It just seems like the longer this law exists the less of a chance we have at ever getting our rights back. Compliance has become commonplace.
