Its all good man, and I didnt take it anyway. Your mindset isnt much different than many. I feel quite disheartened with the state of this country after what has happened, but Im trying to retain some hope that we can salvage something out of this mess.
Frankly, an obvious attack on this country by a foreign actor is probably the only thing that could unite Americans now as the divide between left and right has never been bigger in my lifetime.

Have to agree with your position - mine is almost identical.
Never thought I'd end up in .MIL for 1 minute - the draft changed that. Have a Vietnam veteran's hat that says - "All gave some. Some gave all."
Cost me just 5 years of my life to get back where I was before USAF, and the GI Bill made grad school easier. Also learned a lot about a lot of things.
But I can find many names of high school and college friends on "The Wall" - they gave all...and for what?
Overall, IMHO, WWII was the only "necessary" war...Vietnam and the Middle East stuff seems like we were sold a bill of goods from the "elites". We paid, somehow, but they never seem to.
And I'm having second thoughts about WWII once in a while.
At my age, I'm on the downside of life and thought maybe I'd be able to just live out the rest of my days in relative freedom. That doesn't look like it's going to happen now.

Well, thats a different perspective about "boots on the ground"
They have been buying up property and businesses and its going to get even worse due to the pandemic. They are strategically buying land in the US. They already are here and actively engaged in a war with us, just not the physical type. I cant imagine them trying to engage in a physical war on American soil, seems like a losing proposition so far from their own country.

It's not a debt they can just recall like that. It's not like a mortgage.
They own treasury bonds and other investments denominated in US dollars.
They are constantly coming due and we pay them off, and we can only do that because they buy new ones.
If they stop buying the new ones, we will continue to pay the old ones off, we will never default on them.
What we will do is devalue the dollar by printing cash to pay them off.
They will get their trillion dollars, but by that time it'll only buy them a cup of coffee.
If they call in their debt we won't owe them anything, but our economy will crash.
