I had never gone to a gun show til I went to one in Albany about a year or two ago.If I ever go to one again,I will just go in and leave it concealed.We had to stand at a table at the entrance and unload in front of a couple of what I thought were just older club members paying little attention to the 5 or 6 people at the table unloading,pointing guns in random directions.Re-loading on exit was the same cluster fuck.Very surprised there arent more accidents.I said "if I ever go to one again" because I found it to be a total waste of time,more like a non gun related,over crowded flea market.
You have to check all firearms at the door, they will ensure they are unloaded and place a zip tie with a card on your weapon.

And exactly what does this have to do with concealed carry at a gun show?
Because anyone with a loaded gun or the means to load one is a risk. A few years ago at the Tulsa show, a dumb security guard cut the tie off his gun, loaded it and proceeded to "accidently" shoot some poor guy in the hip crippling him.

I always go concealed. Just don’t stare at the sign and you can say I missed it sorry if they catch you. I go to everyone at the Hamburg fairgrounds and never had an issue. Leave it concealed on your hip and walk on past.

Its not a matter of defending myself at a gun show as much as standing at a table with 5 or 6 nimrods unloading/loading a gun haphazzardly.At the Albany show,I walked over to a garbage can at the end of the table and pointed my gun in the nearly full can to unload/load.

I worked this show a few times. We just unloaded our pistols before we went in, worked the show and then loaded them when we left. Pretty simple. The NYS gustopo knows people are bringing firearms with them so they don't go screwing with you as long as you are not stupid. Don't expect to just go in without being able to check whatever firearm you have. They have plain clothes guys walking the show as well. They will make an example out of you if you think you can sneak by them.

What are you talking about you can not be arrested for carrying in a no gun sign zone. Please link to the law. They can ask you to leave and if you fight them then you can be arrested. No gun signs have no power of law in nys.
You wouldn't be all they would do is ask you to leave. If you refuse then you can be arrested for trespassing

Weapons of any kind, including but not limited to firearms, whether registered or unregistered, machine guns, rifles, shotguns, antique firearms, black powder rifles, black powder shotguns, or any muzzle-loading firearms, and/or other weapons including but not limited to any variety of knife, electronic dart gun, electronic stun gun, cane sword, club, billy, blackjack, bludgeon, plastic knuckles, metal knuckles, chukka stick, sand bag, sandclub, wrist-brace type slingshot or slungshot, shirken or "Kung Fu star", razor, imitation pistol, or any other dangerous or deadly instrument or weapon (or an imitation thereof that could be reasonably mistaken for a deadly instrument or weapon) are prohibited from the Fairgrounds, except for those weapons authorized to be carried by law enforcement personnel and Peace Officers and those weapons on display in a Fair exhibit by authorized branches of the U.S. Military, Reserves, and National Guard, provided that the weapons are unloaded, in a safe condition, and appropriately secured while displayed.
EXCEPTION: Visitors attending organized Gun Shows at the Fairgrounds may possess firearms in an unloaded and safe condition provided that those firearms are items intended to be purchased, sold or traded at the Gun Show.

Yep, carry loaded and concealed. If you cannot conceal properly, maybe it is time to learn!
