That will last about 6 months before that money is all gone, and any investment in America with it.

China's position is more precarious than our own.
Worst case scenario, total global collapse, we have the resources and land to become self sufficient. China does not. They are a net importer of food, they import more rice from us than they grow themselves for instance. Chinese agriculture is nowhere near as advance or efficient as I the west.
China is wholly dependent on selling us cheap, low quality goods. We stop buying, they are massively fucked. The only thing proving China up is the greed of western i.e. American investors.
In the end we can buy cheap shit goods from any nation, like India for example. In fact I think we should do that, partner up with India and shut China out, let them wither and die.
China is a paper tiger. We need to focus on taking our political and corporate leadership to task on their conflictinf interests with China investment.
In summation, China needs us way more than we need them. Trump knew this and thus had them by the balls. Plus he was savvy in regards to Asian political and business culture.
