Now we are talking.

I just finished a classic martini. I like to make them at home occasionally. Had a bunch of Sam Adams and Brooklyn Lager this weekend for Sunmerslam and at Raw at Barclay (we went).

I don't drink much. But, after the pro-administration comments from Sam Adams CEO that drew the ire of the Massachusetts governor, I bought and drank some Sam Adam's Boston Lager over the past few days.

Well a real martini is 3 shots of vodka and up to one shot of vermouth (to taste). About as manly a drink as mixed drinks can be.

Nothing wrong with a Martini. I enjoy making them from time to time as well.

I little trick my father used to do when we were out in the world. He would order drinks for whoever the perspective client or party we would have to deal with. Thing is he would have me go tell the waiter/waitress to just make ours with water and vermouth.

Worked everything... we either we got the info or we got the job.

I've heard stories like that before from back in the day. My grandfather was a real estate attorney. He had a it all set with the bar across the railroad from his office that his drinks were to be watered down any time he came in with a client. He said he would schedule tough clients before lunch that way if he needed to get a leg up on them, he could offer them lunch at the bar and they'd walk right into his "trap". lol
