They did...If they don't want armed people in their establishment they should post a sign near the entrance so we can avoid those places.

But I covered the no gun policy in post 1.
The problem I have here is this attitude of "but we're cops!" You go to the store, you follow their policies. Yes, I understand concealed is concealed, but they didn't do that, they even said:
"We were visibly identifiable as on duty law enforcement."
Who cares? The policy is the policy. Don't pull that crap. It's not the policy for the peons, and you guys do what you want.
The store has a no gun policy? Don't go there. Or go there and conceal so nobody knows. Don't pull the cop card.
Hence the problem."but we're cops" is "professional courtesy" which means they have privileges law abiding citizens don't.
Hence the problem.
"Dude, have you watched the news lately!? I have to carry."While I agree wholeheartedly with your "who the fuck are they, they think they're above us peasants?" ideas, I'm wondering if then"but we're cops" used in this situation was more of a "dude, were cops, we have to carry!?" Rather then a "but we're cops, now give me free lunch" attitude.
"Dude, have you watched the news lately!? I have to carry."
-Every other citizen.
No, see, you might have to carry, but you don't have to eat at the Cheesecake Factory. They choose to, didn't follow the rules, and pulled this.
Next year.Hey "turd in the punchbowl" Are you ever gonna be at 161 dives?
When people make jokes of exercising rights, a problem we do have.
Perhaps LEO's should just publicly state they will oblige such signs on business's and NEVER enter.. Getting robbed...tuff shit..read your own signI want equal Rights for all regardless of ones occupation!
I would like to ask the Cheesecake Factory a question...
If you called the cops because a robbery was taking place, would they allow the coppers to come in armed?

I agree with you in regards to having 30 round clips and fully functional ar-15's, but an exposed gun is part of their uniform. That's like saying a butcher or a samurai at a fair doing a display should be arrested for having too large of a knife.Hence the problem.
Google exigent circumstances. So when they call the police for an armed robbery are they supposed to check their guns at the door. Yes the exemption is for cops on duty. I understand saying yes to the policy applying to off duty cops. If you think there should be no difference for cops in uniform on duty then walk around the street with your gun out and see how that goes. They took their policy literally and too far. Now they will back peddle because it's stupid. Also you say well I do it, I just hide it. Does that make it right? I cc every where I go so I'm not faulting you for that. I just think on duty cops do not qualify for the no gun policy and on duty only.
If you come into my business with a large butcher's knife, covered in blood, as part of the "uniform", I'm going to ask you to leave as well.I agree with you in regards to having 30 round clips and fully functional ar-15's, but an exposed gun is part of their uniform.
