Whats a good oil and grease for extremely cold temps? Like 20 f and lower. I love shooting in the cold and snow, want to make sure my guns like it to.

Soooo let's change the question than to address subzero temps in the case that my dreams are answered and we finally hit that.I don't think 20° is cold enough yet to matter. I doubt it will till you hit subzero temps. I may well be wrong but I shoot in the winter too and never noticed a deficiency in any of the lubricants I have used.

how well does dry lube stay put? never tried it out before. do you have to make sure everything is clear of any oil remnants before you use it.Dry lube, graphite, low viscosity synthetic oil.

I only use it on rimfires, but it stays on there pretty well. I clean my Buckmark once a year when I feel it slowing down. I don't think I ever had to clean the 10/22s. I clean them mostly out of guilt, but they always run.how well does dry lube stay put? never tried it out before. do you have to make sure everything is clear of any oil remnants before you use it.
Think I'll feel better using standard oil, don't shoot .22 all that much and i'd rather not be the test dummy.I only use it on rimfires, but it stays on there pretty well. I like the Liquid Wrench brand. It leaves a nice white layer so you can see where you sprayed the lube. If you switch to it, try and get the old oil off first, but I don't think you have to get crazy.
Unless you're planning to spend time in Antarctica, regular oil on a somewhat clean gun will work fine.Think I'll feel better using standard oil, don't shoot .22 all that much and i'd rather not be the test dummy.

Bullet Guy has graciously filled the grip stored oil bottle of the rifle he built for me with Slip 2000 EWL. I'll be shootin' all winter long, I let you know how it works for me. Honestly I wish my old indoor range place hadn't burned down.slip2000 EWL
i have used it down to single digits
