get it ..07SEP2017 - Received letter from County Clerk saying my permit application was granted. I did not have to meet with a judge. There is nothing in the letter that says anything about restrictions. I will pick up my permit tomorrow and reply again. So glad the process is almost over.

Congratulations! I'm jealous at the speed with which your app was processed. Be interested to hear which judge you got.
That's the thing, I have no idea who my judge is, it wasn't on the letter from the clerk. The letter says my application has just been approved by a judge, I don't need to meet with one. I'll let you guys know if it was unrestricted tomorrow (I think it will), great day!
08SEP2017 - Went to the County Clerk today, showed them my letter; they took a photo of me, my signature, and my thumb print and put it on my license. The license is a plastic card (not paper). My judge was David Weinstein, unfortunately my license was restricted, even though he approved my application without meeting me in person (hunting & target shooting). I paid $13.00 and the county clerk gave me my two coupons to pick up the two guns I originally put on the application.
I go to my gun store to pick up my two pistols. To my surprise BOTH serial numbers on my coupons were incorrect. 1 pistol was missing a single digit, and the other had a capital letter "i" instead of the number one. My gun dealer called them up and tried to assist, but they said they would need to make a new coupon and get the judge to sign it over again. That was not acceptable to me so I went back to the county clerk, they told me I needed to wait for the judge's signature. I told them I would find the judge and see if he would sign it today. They did not know where the judge was, so they told me to go across the hall to find out where he was located. A lady across the hall from the county clerk gave me the judge's secretaries phone number. I explained the situation to her and she called the County clerk's office. The judge's Secretary had the county clerk simply fix the serial number on the originally wrong coupon (instead of waiting for the process to start over again). I walked out with the corrected coupon and got my guns.
So, to anyone reading this. Before you leave the county clerk's office, make sure your serial numbers are correct! I had to drive back to Albany, find parking, and waste 1/2 of my day because the serial number was put in incorrectly.
