The only way this stuff gets stopped is for enough people to say GFY to the totalitarians, and hold the event regardless, even if in a different venue. Most American Legions will rent their facilities for a very reasonable fee. If the totalitarians show up to "protest", call the cops. In the meantime, it wouldn't hurt if they could figure out a way to sue the district and the DoE.

This shit has gotten to the point where I'm in a permanently pissed off state. I cuss and curse at everyone I come into contact with, I have no capacity for stress at all because my tank is full to overflowing with rage because of shit like this.
I am becoming non functional due to anger.

You need to pick up a hobby. Something in addition to guns that you'll be able to enjoy talking to other folks about.
Years ago, I got into audio equipment and home theater stuff. Hanging out with friends who have the same interest and listening to tunes over a beer or some bourbon really helps to decompress. My wife and I rarely get to the movies but it's fine when you can have a better experience on your couch.
A couple friends caught the audio bug and it's cool to audition their stuff over a beer too. And, there's always plenty of gun talk with the guys.
I'll admit that my gun budget is closely related to my audio budget and either can be affected at the expense of the other but they both relieve stress in different ways.
For me, it's a hobby that breaks up the monotony of crap I see and hear every day.

The only thing that's been able to chill me out was that trip out west. If that New California thing ever somehow happened I'd like to move there.
