Using either a very fine Sharpie marker (or toothpick with oil-based marker) to 'mark' the screws - both mounting and windage/elevation screws - so you can tell at a glance if any screws have loosened.Meaning?
If I remember correctly you were pretty sure you dropped it at the gas station after trying retrace your steps but you weren’t 100% positive that’s where you lost the mag. It’s absolutely possible that you likely dropped it there but it still doesn’t change that you did still unknowingly dropped the mag and someone else scooped that thing up. Then the decision to take a gun out of a holster and toss it into a jacket pocket all willy-nilly with an exposed trigger is a terrible idea. Then having it fall out of the jacket and go down a set of steps just solidifies that. Whether it’s blatant inexperience or decisions purposely made when someone decides to do something they know is wrong, improper, or unsafe for “just a minute” and try and justify it is exactly what causes accidents and ends up biting someone in the ass in the end, or worse.I was in the warehouse by myself working on some stuff and I had some heavy stuff in my hands and it was making me uncomfortable because it kept putting weight on my CC and it was hurting me so I put it in my Milwaukee jacket pocket for a minute, and the way I angled my body it slipped out of the pocket. It’s my brothers warehouse. No one has access to it but workers (which I was the last one to clock out)
also the magazine definitely dropped at the gas station, it was the first time I used my magazine holster. Problem is that someone picked it up.
Gun was in the holster in my jacket never did I state it was taken out of it. I wouldn’t ever take it out of the holsterIf I remember correctly you were pretty sure you dropped it at the gas station after trying retrace your steps but you weren’t 100% positive that’s where you lost the mag. Put one on your ejection port cover. See if it moves...Get some oil based markers and draw a line across the screw and onto the housing. Then if the screw starts backing out in you, you’ll see the line move.
