Repaired a concrete curb this am...

Used to have ramp around back of house for former disabled owner...

Pinned some rebar to old concrete to add some strength...

Brushed on slurry of sand mix and latex additive to strengthen bond to old concrete...

Lined forms with plastic to aid releasing...

Filled with high strength concrete mix and screed top...

its tough to fill those pockets in while pouring I think unless the mix is pretty liquid or You have a vibrator. Looks a lot more uniform than when I did it last with a form like that.

Yeah I was stirring up as best I could with shovel but was concentrating in center in between the rebar because I didn't want to tear plastic sheeting. I think the rebar actually contributed to pockets they're small about 1/4" at best. Just esthetics really.

Funny story my nephew was working for contractor years ago. They poured a foundation and nephew was poking around with vibrator and one of the walls blew out. They lost a whole truck load of concrete down a hill in back of building. He said he was digging it out for weeks with a Bobcat lol.

Perhaps another reason 90% of the homes in new york seem to still be built with block :)

Fill the holes with caulking and be done with it. It won’t be perfect anyways because the concrete will be different colors. Tis life.

Bought a bag of sand mix and few bags of high strength concrete mix from the start. Used the sand mix to create slurry to help bond repair to old concrete then mixed in about 80% of bag with the concrete to blend it in. Kept about 10% of bag because I expected to have to fill in some small pockets been through this before lol. Will be back next week for another project pretty sure color will match after it had some time to dry and cure. It's literally same mix as the repair.
