It's hard for me to gauge that, 200 yards is the farthest I can shoot as a practical matter. I'm around 5k through it now, I'll shoot anywhere from 500 to 750 or so rounds in a range day, which is roughly once a month. I generally refrain from mag dumps though they happen on occasion. I do a lot of rapid, cadenced, aimed fire though, and lots of double taps. By rapid aimed fire I mean shoot, realign the dot to point of aim and shoot again. I'd say it's a smidgen less than a second between shots. I'll go though one 30 mag like this then hang a new target and repeat. After 6 mags I pause to reload. Or if I'm doing a @dsdmmat match it's a similar pace at with 10 round strings, punctuated by episodes of frustration when I will dump 30 rounds as fast as I can at a target and see what happens. Sometimes 30 rounds of magdump scores higher than 10 rounds of aimed fire, a good illustration of why military arms have focused on volume of fire over time. I wouldn't say this is mindless abuse but I'm not babying it either, barrels a replacement items. When this one wears out I will replace it with a Noveske CHF to see if the extra $100 over the Daniels Defense actually gets us anything. When barrel craps out it shows first at longer ranges. Good quality .223 AR barrel will shoot accurately up to 4000 rds, longer at short ranges.
If it is abused, all bets are off.
