Probably going to get heat for this, but I actually thought for once in his rotten fucking life, Cuomo did something productive. I thought his response to this whole thing was probably his best move. I didn't disagree with anything he has done (that I know about) regarding this outbreak and the containment efforts related to it.

Heard today that 3M sent 500k masks to NY, CA, and WA. That'll help a lot, as there's places using 1 mask all day, while some have none, and others are burning through 1000's a day. Black Button apparently set up their machines to make sanitizer somehow, I have no idea, but great to hear.

Actually, one thing that FUAC seemed to propose that was correct was "nationalizing of purchasing" necessary medical supplies. Right now, with regards to N95 masks, every state and municipality is bidding against each other and driving up prices. If only the government was buying the supplies and then providing them to states, it would prevent gouging.
I'd propose temporary emergency legislation that makes it illegal to engage in bulk sales of N95 masks to any buyer not directly associated with the federal government. The federal government would offer to purchase any, and all, N95 masks at the suppliers' prices that were posted on 2/29/20. Sellers would also be exempt from paying tax on the sales. Sellers not selling to the federal government would be subject to fines and/or criminal penalties. Such legislation would only be in effect for 30 days, would require renewal every 30 days, and would require legislation for each specific item.
Does this restrict free commerce? Yes, it does. But, it only restricts free commerce of medically necessary items as determined by independent institutions (hospitals) that report their problems to FEMA, DHS, and the CDC.

at the beginning I felt like they were being slow to respond to the virus while it was still oversees. (the government.) and globalism and all the traveling didnt help either.
If the efforts to stop fighting this ceased tomorrow, this would come and go like the standard flu.
The focus on it is the reason for the hysteria.

I hate how most of the people in the U'S are indoctrinated by the state run schools. It is true that the virus is extremely dangerous, being it can cause permanant lung and testicle damage. But we could have stopped the virus from even getting here at all, or would have been better prepared to produce what we need to keep the virus under control if we didn't outsource our production to China. did you know the average Chinese citizen has a value of $800,000.00 Do you know why? That's the value of all of their organs.
