This offends me as much as his constant anti-2A crap. 4 out of 5 people in my immediate family have been touched by cancer (including myself), with my father and brother already being lost to the disease.
Every time I think my disgust at the Tyrant has reached its inevitable low point, he finds a way to sink ever lower.
i would LOVE a chance to stand before him, speak my mind, and KICK HIM IN THE NUTS!

Nonprofit organizations raise money for research.

The effing federal Department of Health provides grants with tax money.

I'm actually a proponent of government spending for medical research. I'd much rather have my tax dollars spent on that then services for welfare deadbeats or illegal immigrants. Somehow or another we have our priorities all mixed up.

Research is important and one never knows when they will benefit from it. How about the state stick to things like helping fund schools, repair infrastructure etc, and give the money that was spent on items the government shouldn't be involved in back to the tax payers? I donate money each year to a variety of causes. If my taxes were lower I would donate more.

I kinda have mixed feeling about this. My wife has been fighting cancer for a year, and turns out she's had for many many years. The state really shouldn't be funding any kind of research, it just gets abused anyway. But this is something I don't mind my tax money being spent on if it's genuine.
The other side of the problem is the pharmaceutical companies will loose clients in a big way if they cure cancer, one of their biggest money makers. I don't feel they want a cure.

See, that's the problem though, they are lining their pockets by going through the motions of "research". A cure for cancer would likely put most pharmaceutical companies out of business. I know the WTF well, when we seen the bill for her chemo it was just under $21k, thankfully she has decent insurance to cover most of it. I haven't seen the bills for her surgeries yet, been in the OR 7 or 8 within the past 10 months. Just came home from her last a day ago. We, as Americans, are getting fucked by the medical field all across the board. The same procedures are less expensive in most of the other modernized countries. There was just a documentary on prescription prices here and in Canada.
Any public funding IS being abused any way you look at it.

If ever there is a document stating these vermin are deliberately withholding research or drugs to keep their bottom line up, I think you will see the return of lynching to this Country.

Unfortunately, my parents did not have the best medical coverage. My mom ended up trying to use GoFundMe to help get the initial payment. Thankfully the doc knew of some research dollars that reduced the initial cost to where they could try.

In the end, it was too late.

I doubt we'd ever see damning documentation unless someone quite high up their food chain was screwed over really bad. But who knows, we found out proof positive that our own government was experimenting on serfs with drugs and mind control after many years of "conspiracy", amongst other things.
It could be complete bullshit, but we've seen cures for other much more common past ailments that didn't have nearly the amount of coin dumped into research as cancer. Something else to consider is how much cancer treatments cost here in the States, it must be the biggest cash cows in the medical field. It doesn't take a long stretch to realize what happens when that cow dries up.

Now if some of those creepy hacker kids would investigate those companies Bit by Bit, that I'd happily help fund. Even if it meant finding out the pharmaceutical companies are being genuine.
