It's hard to make money at it. A lot of people grossly underestimate the time and material that goes into art. But I am seriously considering it. The dick suit thing is a specialty. I also do just regular caricatures and I'm thinking of doing pet caricatures. I'm also fine arts trained as well as animation. Though, I've lost some interest in animation.

Just had a caricature artist into my wife's groom shop to do dog caricatures for Christmas. Think it was $100/hour. And my wife found out about him from another business that had hired him. He does it on the side but sounds like he does ok. And people were tipping him pretty well in addition.
I'd love to see you finish it in color,- it's great! Then, we can (with your permission, of course), spread copies around as we please.
And, I think it would be a blast to turn it into a watermark; then place it onto the front side of the permit renewal forms as a digital .pdf!

AC is completely correct - making a living at art, regardless of the sub-speciality, is a bitch. My Son was "born to draw" and did from the day he could hold a pencil. He went to HS in Kenya and took advanced courses from overseas instructors (International Baccaleureate). Sold his first artwork at 17 and went to Parson's School of Design in NYC for graphic design.
He wanted to go free lance. I told him to follow his dream, and I'd help as much as I could. He had drawings in many NYC publications.
And yet, after a year, he had to pack it in. It was eating their savings and the cash flow sucked. In Manhattan and the Boroughs, there is too much competition - two of the best art schools, Pratt and Parson's, are in Brooklyn and Manhattan, respectively, and were always graduating more people.
It's a tough field to make a living in for sure.
