Governor Cuomo Signs NY Safe Act in Rochester
"It is appropriate to sign the NY SAFE Act here in Rochester, where just weeks ago a gunman senselessly murdered two first responders as they responded to a fire in Webster," Governor Cuomo said. "This new law will limit gun violence through common sense, reasonable reforms that will make New York a safer place to live. When society confronts serious issues, it is the function of government to do something, and the NY SAFE Act will now give New York State the toughest, strongest protections against gun violence in the nation."

Spengler served 17 years in New York State prison on manslaughter charges, police officials said. He was on probation until 2006 and reportedly had lived quietly with his mother, who died in October, and sister at 191 Lake Road, along a sliver of land between Irondequoit Bay and the lake.
Folks this is relevant to the story..
People are being pardoned and let out of prison early for killing and in my mind should be fried...Put to death..
we got this safe act because (partly ) because he (Spangler ) was let out of prison... His crime .. He pushed his grandmother down the cellar stairs and then proceeded to beat her with a hammer in the head like over 60 times ... This animal should have never been released from prison...
When Cuomo says "will now give New York State the toughest, strongest protections against gun violence in the nation." ... It is a bald face lie...
The strongest protections against gun violence would be ... the chair... Or life.. that should include hard labor ...
But now he lets these folks go... And if they kill again like Splengler.. ... We just blame the gun... Not the assholes that set them free to kill again.
