No. It won’t make a real difference. Smelling weed in the car during a stop would be reason , no different than smelling alcohol. Suspicion of driving under the influence and the officer can search the car for alcohol eventhough it’s legal to possess.

As far as tax dollars. Look at CO and CA experience. It’s costing more in services than money taken in. And other “costs “ are also higher than the pro weed people have said would happen.

the only scientifically proven health benefits associated with it are it's ability to deaden seizures in epileptics. that's with refined thc oil though, not rolling up a damn joint. After it's proved useful for medical use, great use it for that. But recreational, whatever, legalize it or not, I'll still think you're an idiot who just can't handle reality.

It is already available as a prescription drug called Marinol. Been out for several years. There was also a new drug approved a few weeks ago which is for seizures - https://health.usnews.com/health-ca...roves-first-marijuana-based-drug-for-epilepsy

As for smoking it, I'm against it, but I'm also against tobacco. However we all know how poorly Prohibition went, so there is little point in banning it. (plus the War on Drugs har har)

Also I know it has health benefits. My stepfather has a huge back issue from all of his tours. He’s considered 85% disabled, and is expected to be in a wheel chair by time he’s in his 40s. It takes away his back pain for a certain amount of time. It has been known to kill some cancers in the THC form. Known to stop Tremors and seizures From Parkinson’s. Known to stop people from their ticks from tourette’s when they take the THC form. Epilepsy, and a bunch more. It’s truely a miracle drug.

Edit: and as someone above said it’s used for chemo patients to help the pain, reduce nausea and appetite

Those and other examples provided are what is called "anecdotal". The only real scientific study that I am aware of was done by an Australian medical team and they found most, if not all of the claims as baseless. If people find relief from treatments through the use of pot, fine, I have no problem, just don't call it science, and cite it as the results of extensive research. There is a difference between knowing and believing.

I'm not saying marijuana doesn't or couldn't have any medical benefits, but until it is tested in real-world clinical trials, like every other FDA-approved drug.. The FDA is one of the few .gov agencies I support (I've also worked in pharmacy for longer than you've been alive, MAN I'M OLD), though they could of course be better. Until recently they weren't allowing any clinical testing on THC-based drugs, hopefully that'll change.

It should also be mentioned that any use of 'Medical Marijuana' is still federally restricted, and you may lose your 2nd amendment rights. (which is what Cumhole wants)

Heck yes they are...
In CO, with a medical card (which isn't hard to get) one pays ~8% in tax (standard sales tax, exact rate depends on the county). Recreational users pay ~19.5% (again, exact rate depends on the county). With a medical card a person can pay with credit. Recreational purchases are cash only.
CO is loving the influx of tax money. The infrastructure out there is booming with construction, new roads, schools, etc. unlike this god forsaken state.

So has a handgun. That kills cancer cells in a Petri dish. Not sure if I'd recommend eating one.

Both poles are wrong on the marijuana issue.

It's no miracle cancer cure. It does have verifiable medical uses. But who cares? It's a substance you are deciding to put in your own body based on a decision you made using your own free will.

If you think someone should be forcing you to not do that, using threats of violence, that is an immoral stance on all levels.
