Well, it depends on whether they really have a lack of standing.
If there were fraud in the last election, I would think any registered voter in the US should have standing to sue over it.
In the very least any one who voted in the state in question. If there were any fraudulent votes cast, it defrauds everyone else who voted.

In my layman's opinion: standing, laches, mootness... they all have theoretically appropriate purposes and uses in the justice system. The big problem is that the courts can easily abuse all three with no real repercussions. Who decides when courts are wrong and/or corrupt? THE COURTS! Who decides the punishment when the courts act poorly? THE COURTS! Get where I'm going with this? The foxes are supposed to be in charge of keeping their brethren out of the henhouse.
I will say one good thing came of the elections... I have a slightly better idea of how deep and putrid the quagmire really is.
