What else did you want?So they just added a comp. Not much changed otherwise.

Besides the barrel and maybe slightly better sights (with an optic anwyay), the real deep slide cuts are a nice touch in particular IMO. I havent handled one of these, and it doesn't look like it would actually have the same problem , but one of the only downsides to CZ-75 based variants has always been that racking the slide isn't as easy because there's not much area to grip (since the slide rides inside the frame instead of outside). Makes them nice shooters in my opinion, but can be annoying. I realize this isn't a 75 variant, but.. I mean it's still a nice little change. So they just added a comp. Not much changed otherwise.
Well, if you are thinking of getting something more "modern" as you put it only do so if you want to, not because you think you need to because you don't. That said I tread down this very same path last year with an M&P Carry Comp with all the tactical goodies. In my case I sold off two other guns to fund the purchase. Pistol Red Dots don't have to be expensive and in fact one of the very best options for a carry RDS, the Holosun EPS, is to be had for the middling price of $400.Lately I've been thinking about changing my carry gun out for something a little more modern (optics mostly), and this is right near the top of the list of possibilities. Well, I can't actually afford it, let alone a decent optic, but.. one day maybe..heh. I primarily carry a Sig P938 these days, but I've always had mixed feelings about it. I think it's a very good gun for what it is, but with my monster paws, and for the way I shoot, it's just always been too small, but.. then again it was partly for health reasons that I started carrying something so small and light, and it's so easy to carry even OWB and never print. It has it's benefits for sure.
Comparitivlty, we're talking bascially micro-compact vs compact here, and I think I'd like something just compact that I feel I have more control over. An issue with the P938 is that, while it's excellent to carry, I just personally don't shoot it nearly as well as pretty much any other pistol I own, and that bothers me that that's what I'm carrying, for obvious reasons.
Anyway, I'm ramblng a bit. The added comp I think seems great, and with the heavier barrel I assume it'll shoot better that the previous model. I've always been one of the big CZ fans around here, but I don't own anything from them in a polymer frame (or any other brand for that matter). I think If I'm going to size up though, and get with the times, maybe it's time to accept polymer.

The only huge thing for me if I got one of these for carry would be the lack of manual safety. I get why many don't like a manual safety, but I've trained most of life using one (mostly carrying 1911 variants), and I'm an old dog so it would be a new trick for sure. I also generally believe the majority of NDs come from guns with only a trigger safety getting caught on stuff, so that would give me a little anxiety (whether it's valid or not).
The Sig P365 XMacro Comp is another one I'm eyeing for this possibility. I really like the idea of the big 'ol trigger guard on this P10c. I'd very much be into the CZ P-09 C Nocturne, but those CZ Omega triggers.. yecch, gross.
I'd have to handle any of them to see what they really feel like.
That can be an issue with external compensators but not with ported barrels. I am prepared to except that the former is the more effective device but the latter doesn't really have any downside as to the function of the pistol, particularly when the ported section of the barrel is counterbored. Some of these Comp guns have been finikey with certain ammo. Some recommend a certain grain along with a different spring. Be aware if using for a CCW.
Do yourself a favor and get your hands around the new Canik Mete Prime. The Sig P365 XMacro Comp is another one I'm eyeing for this possibility. I really like the idea of the big 'ol trigger guard on this P10c. I'd very much be into the CZ P-09 C Nocturne, but those CZ Omega triggers.. yecch, gross.

The Houge grip made all the difference for me. I did not expect it to make the P938 so much better to shoot for me.An issue with the P938 is that, while it's excellent to carry, I just personally don't shoot it nearly as well as pretty much any other pistol I own, and that bothers me that that's what I'm carrying, for obvious reasons.
Okay, if we are gonna start rooting for teams here.....

Look at that slide milling, those speed holes! There are custom guns that don't look that good.
I will say that the fact that the slide weight cut on the top front is very much a HEXagonal shape, does put it much nearer the top of my list then it might be otherwise. Silly reason, but still trueOkay, if we are gonna start rooting for teams here....

I generally strongly dislike slide cuts on the basis that they are extraneous decoration and they allow dust and debris a path inside the gun..............but for some reason I really like the cut on the Carry Comp, I'm not exactly sure why but I looks nice to me.I will say that the fact that the slide weight cut on the top front is very much a HEXagonal shape, does put it much nearer the top of my list then it might be otherwise.
