Anyone get a NY compliant Daniel Defense AR15? Any out-of-state FFL to avoid or suggest for gunsmithing into a NY compliant firearm?

Or, is it possible to buy in VT, then go to my friend's house in VT and convert the rifle to be NY compliant, then bring into NY?
You can do either. I'm pretty sure bulletguy would install a Mag locking device. But if I was you and had a good working relationship an FFL I would ask if they would be interested. It also might help to let us know what part of NY your from someone might know a specific FFL.

Daniel Defense won't send any firearms to a NY FFL. I'm east of Albany so the thought was to drive out to VT and buy the rifle from a Daniel Defense dealer there, do the stock/spur/muzzle/etc, then return to NY.

They wont sell it to you. It needs to be legal in the state you huy in AND the state you live in....or they should not sell to you (legally). Down south they might. But i doubt in VT.

Not sure. It was a different designation. The part number is also different. But it looks just like the other m4v11 based on the picture.

Which model DD/handguard?
Couldn't find anything about an acronym, COLPS. A colp is a strike or hit in Old French. In English, it's an alternative form of collop, which is a type of sliced meat. I'm going with the Old French on this one.
@freddy, I have the M4V11 with 15" keymod rail. It became so loose after my srcond range session it literally rattled. Was sent back to manufacturer (I wanted to be sure everything was spec'd properly). Customer service was 11/10 excellent and rail has not come loose since. I've put 1,100 or so rounds through it since getting it back and the rail is still tight. Still its something on the back of my mind and that is irritating. Also note that it is indeed a very slim rail, more so than others, and 45º offset mounts might not clear. I learned that the hard way trying to mount an offset Elzetta CQB light.
