Dead ringer glock sights...i am surprised

Not a fan of high profile Night sights and both glocks had/have ameriglo sights but about a month ago @ a gun show...one booth had some "Dead Ringer GP3" sights for sale for "all" Glock models. I have never heard of them. At the moment I did a quick google search and i found good reviews and a much higher "retail" price than the one bestowed upon my face..So...bought 2 and decided to try. A hammer...along with a punch and a universal sight tool did the job last weekend. Took both glocks for a test drive on Monday AM i was quite impressed with these sights. QUICK Target acquisition was MUCH improved on both glocks. The sights appear to be good quality...we will see about durability.


What do most of you with much more experience prefer when it comes comes to sights on your handguns? Especially the edc?

I have a set on my Ruger SR9c that shares my edc spot with an LCP (50/50). Large sights make for very quick sight acquisition. Rear high enough to be racked on a table, against a leg etc.

Thanks for sharing. I was skeptical at first about the sights until i tried them last Mon for about 30 min. Might just buy another set for the 26. I carry iwb figured the high profile might make it uncomfy for a G 26.

Typically carry in an Aliengear holster and high profile of rear sight has never been an issue. If you use some type of minimalist holster you might feel it but as long as something between your hip and pistol you'll never notice.

Drawing from AG holster is snag free. On occasion I carry iwb or in pocket in a Remora holster. Ruger draws smoothly so no snag concerns.

Now on topic do you find your accuracy suffers from the large rear sight. It seems to me like it would be a bit hard to center the front sight? I guess it's like an ar peep sight though.

I like the LCP a lot but it took some getting used to. It's very snappy and The trigger pull is very long but I have no problem with it. In such a small pistol with no safety a long pull is appropriate. The LCP2 has a short striker trigger. Many people like it better. Other than trigger biggest diff between LCP v1 and V2 is the shape. V1 very smooth and rounded, V2 more angular (possible snag on clothing?)

Good question on accuracy. Getting sights on target center mass very fast but I'd agree that "pinpoint" accuracy suffers unless you train a lot. At combat/self defense distances I don't believe it's an issue as focus is on front sight. I wouldn't consider it a target sight.

Almost 3 years. I installed them myself. It wasn't too hard but I wanted to learn how. I called them and spoke to Michael (?) who was willing to let me ship my slide to them and have them install sights if needed.

Thanks for the info on the LCP. I'm not sure what I'll do. I feel like a single action small gun is best suited for accuracy, but my compact carry gun does not have safety and that's what I'll be using 99% of the time. I like the Kahr cw380 as well. I have a kimber solo and like it, but it's a bit big for pocket carry. It prints in most of my clothing. I use that if I have a sweat shirt on for a quick run and I'll throw that in my pocket.

I don't know about the experience thing. You might have more than me but I've always liked the Glock "Drop the ball in the bucket" thing. For me at least, it's faster than lining up 3 dots. I got the Amerigo front night sight and changed the rear sight to a Glock OEM standard metal sight. So all I have is a front sight that illuminates.

Agreed. I have them on my G19 and really like them.

Tried them for a very short while. I
like how fast you can aquire a target with them but i need to test them more.
As far as accuracy goes...again i need to spend more time testing them.
Calculon and saltwater above brought up a good point when it comes to accuracy.
I shot them for no more than 30 minutes at 10 yards and in a rush... . Need to test more.

I have had these sights on my glock 19 for years. I discovered them when I went to pick up a holster. The guy behind the counter had them on his carry weapon and I asked about them. He swore by them and said a number of cops used them to help qualify since they make target acquisition easier.

The 2 local shops that were supposed to carry them were out of stock. Luckily for me the company headquarters are in a suburb of Rochester. I called them up and they invited me to come down one morning. The guy showed me the different sights and even installed them for me. Great product, great people.
