If you just want to collect, great. That's totally ok. I just get frustrated when someone pay $400 for a Mosin, then another $300 in mods to get worse results than a modern rifle.

the only thing i did with my mosin 91/30 was fix the slop in the trigger by bending the main spring and cleaning up the sear ..
then fixed the front sight to get it off the 300 battle zero .. and make it shoot at 100 yrds off hand .. if i do my part im hitting clay pigeons on the berm
or with in inches of it ..

I haven't even messed with the M44 yet .. i know were it shoots at 50yds and i do the Kentucky windage thing LOL .. ( bayonet deployed )
