Hypothetically or if the unSAFE ACT was ruled unconstitutional (yes allowing you to carry in NYC) in your guys opinion what do you think would happen? A large number of new gun owners? Would NY become the new gun capital? More gun related death? More irresponsible gun owners? What are your guys opinion?

I'd be doing all sorts of economy stimulating.... in the form of guns, parts and mags. Probably start with "standard capacity" mags for my pistols and rifles and go from there.

I actually have an envelope in my safe that says something like "play money when (un)SAFE Act is struck down".. Every once in a while I throw a $20 or two in there. It's up to a decent amount now.

As I said above, if SAFE were struck down then it would revert to what the law was before it. Safe act did not impose 10 round magazine restrictions; we've had that since 1994 and still would.

@HEX I believe the previous AW ban became null and void with the passage of the Safe-Act. So there is nothing to revert too.

I could very easily be wrong on this one (It does happen, and I'm perfectly happy to admit it when it does), but.. I don't think so. The actual law passed in SAFE was specifically to revise sections of the current penal law (Under this law sections blah blah and blah are revised to say blah blah and blah). In that case I believe (and again, I could be wrong) that removing the SAFE act law would simply imply those revisions would be retracted.

That was my understanding, but I am certainly not a lawyer.

If that national concealed carry ever goes through the magazine restriction would have to go too. It would be unreasonable to expect people to change out their mags depending on the state they are visiting. The courts would see it as a legal trap.

No the safe act replaced the NY AWB so it would all be null and void.

what would happen is all the companies making compliance parts would have to adapt or go out of business.
