Decided to carry OWB at work today

Well, overnight technically, last night by the tine most of you will be reading this.
I was out running errands when I got my dispatch for the night so I decided to head direct to work as opposed to heading home to switch to my preferred method of carry whichbis in a shoulder holster.
I really wish I had switched out though. Freaking spare mag is digging into my love handle something fierce already and I am not even halfway done yet. Damn pistol is catching and snagging and banging against every trailer and tight spot I have to wedge myself into!
This why I carry a Shield in a shoulder rig, it just stays out of my way!
I'm getting flashbacks to my days of wrangling a big ol' M16A2 in and out of a HEMTT here!
Pain in the balls this is.
Shoulder rigs get all the poo-poos from the trainer and gun-tuber elites out there but it's the best damn way for a trucker to carry I tell you.

When I drove a lot, I carried dual M&P Shield 9's in a Triple K leather shoulder holster rig. Under my left shoulder for any outside threat, and under my right for any passenger threats. You are correct, - the best way to carry while driving. Still my preferred method when driving on long trips.

Tonight I am back to shoulder carry. Just got a loose fitting, heavyweight Carhartt hoodie so I am still carrying the Glock 19, just in the Galco Miami Classic shoulder rig. Even under the hoodie I van still make out the the bulge but I doubt anyone else would even notice. I'm not going to be around anyone tonight anyhow

I used to carry a 6” Dan Wesson 357 Magnum in a shoulder holster under my leather jacket. You couldn’t tell I was carrying.

Frankly my dear, I see little use for them until after the Apocalypse. Cowboy rigs needed suspenders, like the military has to keep up the weapons belt.

No one magic carry method.

Access and comfort is much different when sitting vs standing imo. Shoulder rigs have their place but do require specific cover garments.

You need to come here and go to Walmart. The sign on their door only politely asks that you don't open carry. Doesn't say you can't. And plenty do

Yep. 6" 686 in a shoulder holster with a suit jacket. Can't even tell.

One job I had, it was verboten to carry in the office.

Colt Officer's 45 in a Galco shoulder holster. T-shirt, then holster, under my dress shirt. Leave a couple of buttons open under the tie.

Frankly that is a ridiculous statement. I have a high riding OWB pancake holster for the Glock 19 and it conceals fine under any medium weight cover garment such as a hoodie, jacket, coat or vest. When I carried that night at work I was covering it with a Carhartt medium weight hoodie with no printing. I often wear a Huskie cold weather vest and it also conceals an OWB G19 well. I plan to get a similar holster for my Shield Plus and anticipate that a loose T shirt or Polo would conceal it adequately. Or a light vest, I have become a fan of vests lately.
