Dems see blue 'tsunami' in House as Senate path narrows

Democrats have a better shot than ever at winning back the House majority with 30 days to go before the midterm elections, but have seen their chances of taking back the Senate erode amid the controversy surrounding Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation to the Supreme Court.

The Kavanaugh saga has dominated politics for a fortnight, energizing partisans on both sides of the aisle. While no one can be certain how the next four weeks will play out, the fight seems likely to hurt Republicans further with the suburban female voters seen as pivotal in many toss-up House districts.

The president's party typically loses seats in the house at the midterm elections. At this point I don't trust any polls or any spin from democrats. The polls were incorrect in 2016.

I’m somewhat skeptical of their chances in both houses. People are starting to associate them with baseless accusations and wildly deranged psychosis upon being told no or otherwise denied their demands. A number of either politically apathetic or outright liberal coworkers of mine have mentioned that they are seriously reconsidering their party affiliations with this last round of crazy. And they’re not moving toward the Democratic camp.

If the Kavanaugh has done anything, it may have poked the bear once again...

With the kool-aid drinking progressives crying for Kavanaugh & Trump impeachment, kavanaugh before he was even confirmed... It could awaken those delplorables once again! It will just as easily stay as it is.

And the media has tried hard, too hard to paint a picture of the midterms swinging blue, lots n lots of polls, just like before the Presidential election, so they hold on weight at all. They try to create legitimacy to justify their existence. They fabricate truth which a particular element accepts as fact/reality. The same people who still have a hard time accepting their liberal progressive darling didn't win and champion their Camelot!

We shall see... But I don't see a big change! There was a reason so many liberal progressives lost their hold on the last election. And those feelings haven't quite subsided just yet.

If anything, I think those feelings have only grown through the whole Kavanaugh character assassination debacle. We shall see.

Well, if anyone out there other than the mindless progs, has been paying attention, things have started to get a lot better for this country. Even with a less than cooperative GOP stymieing Trumps progress. I think most people, whether they'd admit it in public or not, like the direction Trump has set this country off on and likes that he has made good on his promises (wall excluded) and seen first hand what would happen if the dems get power back. Even if they don't like the GOP, they might vote for the GOP to keep Trump going.
