They should have offered to get you what you needed if you can’t wear a mask for a medical reason IMO. IMO it’s also not an actionable offense and it’s not worth pursuing. You won’t get anything out of it.
The EO does say if you can handle wearing a mask and you may or may not be able to. Would your doctor go to court and say you can’t wear a mask because your asthma is so bad? Is it that bad or are you just being difficult? I have no idea I’m just asking.

I have not put on a mask. I have not gone without anything. But there are 2 stores that no longer get my money.
The stores that don't get all nuts when I refuse to put a mask on are getting my money now.

I am not under any allusion that my actions hurt their bottom line. But that's not really the reason I do what I do.

If you're on good terms with your lawyer and he'll do you a favor, take him out for a few martini lunch then ask him to call the manager at the hardware store. I bet he can make the guy poop himself - especially if he is the franchise owner.

A good piece of advise I was once given - if the lawyer won't take your case on a contingency basis, don't bother.

I believe Science is a better standard. Why would I post that in a nursing home? That is awhile different set of circumstances.
People in nursing homes aren't walking into a store.

I will add, If someone is at high risk it is their responsibility to protect themselves.
That is not my responsibility. I am not sick, or at high risk ( but not low either,) But I will do my best to live my day to day life how I choose. And that would be just like before the Chinese Flu became a thing.

The huge majority of infected people never end up needing hospitalization, a lot of people don't get that sick when infected. Are these people not to be figured into the big picture? Are they not part of the equation?

Yeah, COVID 19 is a terrible way to die... But, in the end, the math does matter. The whole picture matters.
Having the proper perspective on the issue matters. The often ignored COVID 19 mortality rate matters.

Here's MY situation. The very nearby convenience store sells beer. Very cold beer.

They require masks.

I can leave home and return in well under 10 minutes, and be savoring that deliciously cold beer, OR I can drive all over 3 towns wasting my valuable time looking for a place that sells cold beer and doesn't require a mask, OR go without.

Oh I beg to differ. first off they scared the living shit out of everyone saying they expected over 2 million dead by summer.
2nd, there are 365 million people in the US , 140,000 doesnt amount to 0.10 percent
3rd.the fatality rate has dropped to 1% with 99% recovery rate.
4th the method of determining a covid death has been altered .
5th the center for disease control , and New England journal of medicine states that masks are ineffective
6th Dr Fauci states that masks are ineffective
