So there should be no air port security either ? It’s not all about our right to arm our selves. What about explosive devices? In a controlled environment such as this or a political rally all weapons must be prohibited. Outside of a controlled environment such as just about everywhere else we should be able to provide for our own security and defense, l agree whole heatedly .

My comment was facetious. Guns are ranged weapons and if someone is looking to assassinate a political figure, they're likely to shoot from concealment and from a distance. Anyways, my point stands: 2A proponents - whether politicos or not - undermine the cause by demonstrating unwillingness to be in proximity to "regular folks" carrying guns.
