6.5 Creedmoor
Not because he doesn't deserve it! I started to worry that it's not the best rifle for him. He really hasn't done any shooting since I first took the kids to the range for a safety course two summers ago, so he doesn't have real-life shooting skills yet. Here's the problem (if it is a problem).
He's right-handed, but left eye is dominant. When we were at the range, the instructor had him shooting lefty, to accommodate his dominant eye. With the Boy Scout 10/22 being a semi-auto, I'm worried about him being able to use it as a lefty. Are there better options out there? Are there adaptations we can make for him?
Please let me know what you think. He has his first Boy Scout meeting tonight, so I wanted this to be part of his crossing from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts.
