Your favorite thing about Stalin?

1) Huge expansion to the Gulag system

2) The Great Famine

I'll start. I just loved the Gulag system. Can't put my finger on it, but for me it's just second to none.

3) Purging the upper ranks of the Red Army just in time to put a bunch of goons and maroons in charge of the war against the Germans. I wonder how many rank file comrades died in the field that didn't need to, due to poor leadership and tactical acuity.
