I saw a sign at Hessney the other day saying that to buy a muzzleloader, you need a NICS check.
Resources for Gun DealersI saw a sign at Hessney the other day saying that to buy a muzzleloader, you need a NICS check.
"Perhaps just another case of a curmudgeon shop creating rules out of thin air?"I didn’t, but that was pre ammo-background-check. Perhaps just another case of a curmudgeon shop creating rules out of thin air?
Educate before eradicating: More than once I've been wrong even after reading and re-reading the Laws."Perhaps just another case of a curmudgeon shop creating rules out of thin air?"
What we SHOULD BE doing, it starting a database for ALL of these unconstitutional shops, & unconstitutional people, etc etc etc....
You are either FOR the constitution, or, you are NOT. If NOT, you should be put on a blacklist, and watched!
Just like the ELITES and their ARMY of THUGS are doing, to us!
Voting with our feet is how we got to where we are today. Gun owners won`t run for public offices. Most are to busy to be bothered. When they get bothered to much, they all just run to a free state.Educate before eradicating: More than once I've been wrong even after reading and re-reading the Laws.
Being brought a simple screen shot or Page Print of the governments FAQ would be enough for most to check up on their own, and if they don't want to believe or demand that you're wrong, well that's their Right, and it's their privilege to sell or not sell an item, especially a gun or ammunition...that said, if you want to play stupid games, don't be surprised when customers vote with their feet.
Kool! My give a fukk button broke a long time ago. I don`t feel sorry for gun owners. Most don`t even vote.Yes muzzle loaders, flint lock and black powder guns require a background check in nys. That was part of the changes when they rammed the CCIA thru was they changed the definition of what constitutes a gun (rifle shotgun firearm other etc).

I would have shopped somewhere else. He must be a real humdinger. The FFL here had been doing backgrounds on muzzle loaders long before CCIA
And idiots like THAT GUY posting their sh!t all over FB & internet, YouTube. DUH!!!
The CCIA Bill is what put the writing on the wall for that place, they closed shortly after, he refused to modernize anythingI would have shopped somewhere else. He must be a real humdinger.

THEY definitely frown upon US putting a bunch of names on a list."Perhaps just another case of a curmudgeon shop creating rules out of thin air?"

The only thing you don’t need permission to do is masturbate. NYS wholeheartedly endorses you going and fucking yourself. You need permission to ask a question in NY. Permission to walk across the street.
Permission to do almost all and may innocuous activity...
Fuck NY!
I have to politely disagree with your last sentence..... NYS would much prefer that THEY, get to fukk you harder than you can, yourself. The only thing you don’t need permission to do is masturbate. NYS wholeheartedly endorses you going and fucking yourself.
Conflicting information from the State? Say it isn't so...This is correct.
The state uses their own system for gun background checks, which is illegal, like a shit ton of democrat new age bullshit, but who from the federal Attorney Generals office is going to open an investigation, let alone prosecute!Conflicting information from the State? Say it isn't so...
Speaking with a Dealer about it, the State has a new Form where a check is conducted, but it doesn't use the FBI NIC system....maybe the same program as ammunition? And if you can be approved for any one there is no reason why any other ones should be required.
On a tangent, BGC's were going through pretty well today at the Show: only one "delay" (about two hours) out of ~15 checks today...didn't ask anybody doing ammo checks how they were going, but didn't hear anyone bitching about it.
