Her response was something along the lines, i am not that great of a shot with a handgun and want to get better but am a decent shot with a rifle.
My response ..... handguns are inherently difficult, best thing to do is get one on one instructions from a certified handgun instructor

I am sure he will try and argue that he is saying that 9mm is "ballistcally superior" for everything within 50yrds

That's not how any of this works.
I could see, say arguing that a .357 carbine with a 20" barrel pushing a 158 grain jsp at 1,900 fps might be better on heavier skinned animals at close range for defense (similar ft lbs and heavier bullet for greater penetration)....well really either a 5.56 or a .357 carbine is going to take the piss right out of a human real fast let's be real.
I would never take my pc carbine deer hunting. I've 100% seen a 55 grain sp. 223 out of a 20" barrel go through both shoulders and be under the far side skin of a full grown doe.
How's that for a "ballistic" test

Oh no I am with you 100% but in one of his posts he specifically says 9mm better within 50 yards than 5.56
He also states that 5.56 is only good for a 30-40lb dog

OK I'm going to put this to rest! And make it simple so all you Brainiac's can understand this simple concept! A "standard" 5.56 round weighs 55 grn a "standard 9mm is 115 grains so therfor it takes TWO 5.56 rounds to equal the massive power of a 9mm and you still have five grains left over! Get it? GOOD!
