Yes. Doubles and even triples of some .Pretty much everything I value highly and have settled on as a “my choice” has a backup.
The exception being my wife.

You are just one of those gun nuts.Anybody buying duplicate firearms for back-up/family members? I find that my basic/must have guns have grown "extras." Glock 19, Sig 220, S&W J frames, Beretta 92, AR15. Even my bags and knives - SOG SEAL Pup, etc.
The part that bothers me, she always shoots them better than I do. God has a sense of humor.
Why not just buy the parts then? I got a Glock specifically for this reason.A few are duplicates. For the very reason .... If one cannot get parts in the future .... either shtf or laws are passed in such a manner that we could never get parts as a way of limiting the amount of guns in the general population...
Because that one part that you don't have will be the one to break just when one cannot get a quick replacement ...Why not just buy the parts then? I got a Glock specifically for this reason.
Parts tend to turn into new guns at my place. Why not just buy the parts then? I got a Glock specifically for this reason.
Just the opposite for me. Usually have three guns chambered in each caliber I own.Two 1911s. Those are the only "dupes". Then the only repeating caliber is my tokarev and pps43. Those are a pistol and rifle though. I really don't like getting the same caliber for more than one gun.
Ah, that makes sense then. I am far too lazy for that.Parts tend to turn into new guns at my place.
