Duplicates - firearms and others

No, I do buy dups of guns. I own many different types, multiple AR's, 12 gauge and the such. But, no exact duplicates.

Yeah. It seems that everything I pick out that shoots really sweet, it's soon taken over by the missus, and then I got to pick up a "back up for her new favorite"... just in case.
At first I thought I was pulling a con on her ... but now I'm not so sure. The part that bothers me, she always shoots them better than I do. God has a sense of humor.

The two is one and one is none doesn’t really apply if you have 10 handguns that all work. If you only want a couple of guns I can see doubling up. I have a bunch of guns and no exact duplicates but some are the same model but different sizes.
When I buy a gun I cross that particular want iff the list and move on down the list. I don't have money to waste on duplicates.

My buds Wife is like that .. i had my Mosin for a few yrs and redid the front site for Zero at 100 yrd ( no bayonet ) .. she finally got a Mosin so its at 300 battle zero .. ( no bayonet ) also .. her first time shooting it and me shooting mine .. were ringing the Orins Eye steel target at like 50 yrds .. I hit the bulls eye .. your turn girl .. ding . WTF

Ruger SR series in .45 and 9mm, plus a 9E ( cheaper SR) in 9mm, 2 10/22's and 3 Walther PPS models in 9mm. I have 1 each Walther in .22 and .380, but they don't get out much. All my others (Sig, SCCY, Springfield 1911-A1 SS .45, Mossberg, and Remington shotguns) are one off's... for now.

A few are duplicates. For the very reason .... If one cannot get parts in the future .... either shtf or laws are passed in such a manner that we could never get parts as a way of limiting the amount of guns in the general population...
Why not just buy the parts then? I got a Glock specifically for this reason.

Two 1911s. Those are the only "dupes". Then the only repeating caliber is my tokarev and pps43. Those are a pistol and rifle though. I really don't like getting the same caliber for more than one gun.
Parts tend to turn into new guns at my place.
Just the opposite for me. Usually have three guns chambered in each caliber I own.
Ah, that makes sense then. I am far too lazy for that.
