I use Special Operations Equipment EDC belts. They have a 1" cobra buckle that fits through my loops fine.EDC Belt With Velcro Lining - Size 26" to 34" | Special Operations Equipment
Am I missing the reason you need the buckle to go through your belt loops?
For me it's a matter of convenience. On the brown coat tactical belt I have to remove the male Buckle to get it through the loops and then readjust it and feed the velcro strap back through the loops. It's just kind of a pain in the ass, especially because I also carry a couple of items on my belt. The new belt is much more convenient to the point where I will wear it everyday as compared to having it sit in the closet.Am I missing the reason you need the buckle to go through your belt loops?

I always have considered a regular leather belt as an EDC. I see now you are talking about a tactical belt.
I dont carry anything on my belt except my holster........I know, im so square.

I like the first aid patch, where did you get it?
Honestly for EDC I so far am exceedingly pleased with my KORE Essentials "Tactical" belt:

BFG has both of those colorsGreat, now more stuff I want to spend money on. I've got a full set up in multicam. But I've been buying stuff in wolf gray lately.
Mags can go in these either way. Perhaps I'm a bit dense but if I put them in the other way wouldn't I have to flip the mag around after I drew them?I don't see many pistol mag holders with "bullets backward" design. Did you find it easier to manipulate than "bullets forward"?
some of those touches seem a little LOW!

I have no formal pistol training whatsoever. I just put em in such a way that they are oriented the right way round when I bring them to vertical. But I think I see how you mean. Bring the gun horizontally during the reload and present the magazines in laterally with the forefinger pointing the way. I will have to try that. You've certainly had more training than me, but in the few classes I've taken the 'norm' was "bullets forward", so as you grab the magazine your forefinger is along the front of the magazine (bullets facing your forefinger).
Not knocking it, just haven't seen many set-up that way.
I'm still lovin' mine.I just got one of these. Very nice. Thanks.

The big padded ones shift around and ride up on you. I didn't mention it but the one I posted is one of the type that goes around a velcro inner belt. The inner belt goes through the belt loops and functions like any regular belt would, the outer belt with all the gear on it wraps around the inner one and is held in place by the velcro. The outer belt can also be worn by itself for bump in the night type things.Back to on-topic, I have an extra "Cobra-buckle style" belt I've been meaning to dedicate to "battle belt/bump in the night" duty, but I'm wondering if one of those padded dealies would be better. Wouldn't want too much bulk though..
