I could be wrong, but when you said you took 20% of your guns out of ny after the clerks office told you to surrender them. Im not a lawyer, or a LEO, but i dont trust the legal system in this state.

What I don't understand is, why would you go to the permit office anyway? Why not just recertify with the state police? What does the permit office have anything to do with anything?

I have a serious issue with people who tell lies. I'll take an awful lot of someone being an a-hole, but once you lie to me you are done and dead to me. Actually, some members here (and elsewhere previously) are/were still around because even though they messed up big, they were honest.
Anyway.. man... as lies go , this one is a doozy.

I can't believe so many fall for the bait... That someone joins, makes a post about what is probably the current hot button topic, and does so in a manner so far off the reservation of reasonable thought, that people just "WANT" to respond!
I call BS, unless the OP names names! What county, who was the clerk, who was the LE officer that issued the command to surrender!

1. A LE officer cannot deny you your "RIGHT"
2. There exists NO "AUTOMATIC" revocation of a "Right" except for convicted felons and even then is questionable (see SCOTUS)
3. When someone posts something without who/what/where, it's usually BS
4. The OP stated the firearms were removed from possession while "In State", end of story, NY has not jurisdiction over it's borders
5. Who asks "Legal" advice from LE? Just lol...

Ok, so NOW I'm closing this because I've banned this sociopath and his other account.
When presented with irrefutable evidence this person admitted the entire story was made up.
I said in my last post that I've let people off the hook for being honest.. but not this time; not after this level of complete BS and (far more importantly) potential damage to the community.
This person couldn't see how those of us who are and have been fighting hard for gun rights for a long time already have enough barriers to face without someone creating fake stories AND accusations toward the LEOs that we need on our side.
I'm truly disgusted.
