Assuming the Dems know Trump will ultimately prevail - have they already drawn up the papers for impeachment? I wonder what they are going to try to pin on him this time?
If we don't see a lot of powerful Democrat figures ruined by their involvement in election fraud, we'll be done in 2022 when Dems win control of the Senate. With the FBI & DOJ being actively inactive, who is going to do it?

At this point I have a feeling the only hope is this going to the Supreme Court and from that sent to the House for a vote. That path looks doable. Time is in the essence. Overturning PA would not be enough would still need several different combinations of GA, MI, NV & WI to be over turned too.

I do not see how anything going to SCOTUS does anything at the state level. State legislatures still have Article II power: Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress.
So, at most, SCOTUS tells the states that their pre-election law changes are unconstitutional and simply tells the state legislatures to do their job.
Does anybody really believe that in this day and age of doxxing and threats of violence from the Left that any state legislature will assign electors for Trump when Biden was "certified" as the winner of the state? Those legislators would need years of armed personal protection thereafter. If the legislators do nothing, and allow the election to go to the House of Representatives, they will suffer the same fate is if they assigned Trump electors.
I fear that the Heckler's Veto will win the day.

I've said this numerous times here already.
Trump will suspend the writ of habeas corpus. This will give him the power to arrest treasonous players in this disgusting game they are playing. Because to all of them this is a game. Their game and their rules.
The scope of the arrests will be so incredible the entire makeup of Congress will be changed. This will be Trump's day of reckoning.
They've done everything they could do over the last five years to destroy this man. He is going to do everything in his legal power to return the favor and destroy each and every one of them. Keep in mind, everything he's doing now is to the letter of the Constitution. They've destroyed his name, his reputation, his friendships, his wealth, and his presidential standing (so far). Believe me, he will be the one who laughs last.
I don't think it's clear that Trump actually has power to suspend Habeas Corpus and even if he did wouldn't that make him a tyrant? Not sure how suspending our constitutional protections would ever be a good thing.

I hope you are right. I'm skeptical if Trump has enough support to pull it off - while the Dems, the media, and likely and good amount of Repubs are calling him a tyrant.

Lincoln suspended habeas corpus. And apparently Bush did after 9/11. There is precedence. And quite frankly, what the left establishment attempted under the guise of an impeachment Trump couldn't care less what half the country thinks. The other half voted for him and is supportive.
So suspend constitutional protections and go after your political opponents and detain them unlawfully and indefinitely got it. Sounds more like a banana republic to me. If he has the evidence to arrest them lawfully why the need to suspend habeas corpus?

Bill Price has denied he was serious about the move. But Channel 2 confirmed Price registered to vote the day after he made the speech, using his brother’s address and swearing to an affidavit that he was a Georgia resident and eligible to vote.

As I recall, there were a number of calls for very similar behavior on the Democrat side. The name Andrew Yang rings a bell.
This behavior is unacceptable from either side. As long as they're doing the exact same thing to all those Democrats too, investigate this guy and bring any charges warranted.
The thing that has me really worried about the Georgia runoffs is the number of mail-in ballots already requested.
This is a national security emergency. Trump has the right and the duty to protect the country from bad actors, foreign and domestic. Completely lawful even if less than desirable.
Actually, IMO, the entire country has been disenfranchised by the dem party led fraud and cheating. They created a national security emergency which may end in the entire election being ruled tainted/invalid by SCOTUS. This means everyone's vote gets invalidated.

Not acting properly and doing the right thing because of fear of the response is total BS. What is the state motto in New Hampshire? If righting the ship leads to those who bought into the cheating and those who are too ignorant enough to know better causing mayhem, hit them back twice as hard. Law and order and not living in fear. We either deal with this now or at some point in the future. So tired of the pussyfooting around done by some in this country. Let's assume you are correct in both the fact the election fraud was rampant and that trump does what you proscribe. I seriously doubt anyone could foresee all the unintented consequences of that action. First all the major media outlets would be against it and would be blaring about how trump is a dictator 24/7. So what does he do next? Shut down the media and become the dictator they all claimed he would be? I sympathize with your position but the downside is too great.
Their treason will be shown in planning all this. And it is Treason! We see shit getting tossed from the courts all the time that we all know should be ruled on...Safe Act??
Constitution is pretty clear Habeas Corpus may only be suspended in times of Rebellion or invasion for public safety. Rebellion? Maybe, certainly Lincoln had a better case to make with Americans actually shooting at each other. Invasion? Probably not. But it's not clear who actually holds the power to suspend it. The president or congress? Certainly there were other times in US history where it has been suspended eg detention of Japanese Americans during WWII, riots during 1960s but in those cases it had support of both executive and legislative branches. I personally feel Trump is on much shakier grounds now. I also feel whatever action is taken it should be above board, legal and beyond reproach rather than doing an end run around the Constitution. My $0.02.

If I were a team in the Superbowl and had a game winning play that I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt was in fact a good clean legal catch and the other team wanted to go to the replay because they felt the ball hit the ground before it was caught, I have have zero issues with going to the replay to verify the catch in fact was good and clean. I would want everyone once and for all to see the same thing so there was no concern that we had won the game fair and square. Only if I had a suspicion that the replay may in fact show that it was not in fact a catch and we should have lost the game would I be in a rush for the clock to run out before anyone had a chance to investigate the situation.

I was referring to either having the house or supreme court resolve the issue of fraud. Politicians can't act based on how they may fear the public will respond as long as they are within their rights.

@cgrutt I think suspending Habeas Corpus is a last resort only which he may not attempt. Right now the path he's taking is clear - exhaust all legal means to resolve this attempt to steal the election. He can then decide whether to play that card.
