My source in the capital tells me that in anticipation of Joes' speech yesterday that DC was pretty much shut down again and the N Guard trotted out to their strategic locations. Planned destructive events to goad people into using deadly force to protect themselves, followed by crucifying said people, then the media blitz of “Guns bad. Turn them in before we find them”. They’ll likely count on most folks having too much at stake to risk being arrested for possession.

Likely to be followed by a deep dive through registries, 4473 archives and FFL books to find who might have something, and door to door visits offering amnesty.
