Should be your best comes to best go to also.Worst comes to worst, my go-to is Wild Turkey 101.
I'm working that night. 9:30pm to 8:00am
I will be up all night regardless.
You can bet I will be watching the show though.
My understanding is that many of the media outlets have already announced that they will not be declaring winners that night.
Not sure what they will be reporting if they aren't going to talk about who's winning what states.
Only place to watch.Although if he;s so far ahead it may be entertaining to watch the CNN'ers heads explodingWatch FOX
The only reason I would stay up is because I still keenly remember The NY Times gauge as it went from 95% Hillary in the other direction.Four years ago I went to bed when it was pretty certain to go for Killary. Woke up the nextmonthmorning, grabbed my phone while still in bed and checked the news... "Holy shit, he won!" I'm not super emotional but I was happy.
I think I may have to stay up for this one...
(edit: morning, not month, I don't sleep in THAT much)
if Biden wins i May do another week long purge of news. I did it a couple months ago—literally no news for a week. It was pretty nice.
I am sure all here already know this about me...
I am a junkie. I am a junkie of anything politics.
Election day is a paid holiday for me, if I work, I get holiday pay of eight hours as well as time and half for working.
I have signed up for the day off. I will only get the 8 hours of Holiday pay. I am okay with that.
I will be home, glued to the TV. Many thing this will go into the next few weeks before we know for sure. I do not think so, this is NOT a prediction. It is a feeling. I try to leave my feelings out of these types of events, but I said the hell with it; a bit of feeling will be okay.
If a winner is not known, I will retire to bed by 5am the following morning. I will set an alarm for every tow hours to check the news feed.
This is indeed my Superbowl in life!!
My organization's monthly staff meeting is scheduled for the morning of Election Day (they've been virtual since March because of COVID). I'd say 95% of the people I work with are lefties of varying degrees (some moderate but most WAY to the left). Management is usually careful to keep overt politics out of staff meetings but I'm bracing for a full on tirade that morning about why you should be voting a certain way.
I'll vote, in-person that day at my usual polling location. Maybe watch the news for a bit that evening but otherwise I don't plan on staying up into the wee hours like I did in 2016. That is of course unless a riot or something really sensational breaks out.
Then it's time to start loading magazines.
Especially at work, I go out of my way to bring a politics around the lefties. I do everything in my power to get a rise out of them
Exact same thing in my house. I had to have my wife kick me in the balls to make sure I wasn't dreaming.Four years ago I went to bed when it was pretty certain to go for Killary. Woke up the nextmonthmorning, grabbed my phone while still in bed and checked the news... "Holy shit, he won!" I'm not super emotional but I was happy.

You're better off keeping the politics out of work. Don't poop where you eat. There have been many times I've fantasized about that, especially to my executive director and HR director (aka the woke soyboy cuck and the dried up old feminazi battleax). Sadly, there's no real protections at my work. We're so-called "zero tolerance" for anything that could smack of racism or a threat of violence and you know how anything, no matter how mundane I would say it, would be spun. I've seen people get let go for far less.
